Picture an engineer who sits down on a Monday and finds a security notice from the cloud development platform she rents for her model runs.
NVIDIA sent exactly that message to Brev customers this week.
Unidentified activity on the platform ran from October 4 to October 20.
Among the information that may have been exposed was the SSH key Brev set up for customer access to their instances.
NVIDIA rotated the affected keys and pushed replacements to customer machines.
It says its investigation found no evidence of misuse.
It has not explained how the attackers gained access, and it has not disclosed whether customer data or workloads were touched.
Wiz published a post on October 30 labeled Black October for AI developer platforms, counting at least nine platforms with security incidents during the month, including Zeabur, Fireworks AI, Lightning AI, Opencode, Warp and Northflank.
The researchers noted that all public reports describe targeted exploitation that hunts stored environment variables, with a focus on the credentials granted AI access.
The key in that keyring is attached to the machine training the model.
Depending on permissions and other controls, holding it means running commands on a virtual machine you do not own.
The cheaper answer is compute you can rebuild without a meeting.
